She was preceded in death by her Parents, Charlie and Esteen Medlin, and 2 Nephews, Tommy and Everette Medlin, Jr., She is survived by her Husband, Larry A. Shields, 1 Daughter, Faye Medlock, of AL., 1 Son, Charlie Shields, of Pr.George, 1 Brother Everette Medlin Sr., of South Carolina, 4 Grandchildren, Christina Shipley (Andrew), Jason Shields (Cassie), all of Colonial Hts., Wesley Shields (Ame) of AL. and Michelle Powers, of Pr. George, 6 Great Grandchildren and 1 niece. Her remains rest at Memorial Funeral Home, Gould Chapel, 214 N. 6th Ave. Hopewell, VA. The Family will receive friends 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at the funeral home. A Graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Pr. George, VA. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
