Alma Wray Davis

DAVIS, Alma Wray, 83, of Prince George passed away May 5, 2016. Alma was born in Hopewell but lived most of her life in Prince George County. She was a long time carrier for the Hopewell News before retiring. Alma was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mamie Wray, her husband of 45 years, Ralph A. Davis, Sr. and her brother, Earl Wray. She is survived by her son Ralph (Allen) Davis Jr.; her daughter, Diane Bicek (Steve); her grandchildren, Brian Burroughs (Wendi), Amanda Hill (Ryan), Marcia Valle (Jose), Justin and Zach Wells, Christopher Davis (Stephanie) and Greg Davis (Christy) and 12 great- grandchildren. Service will be conducted by Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory, 214 N. 6th Avenue in the historic city of Hopewell. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Her funeral ceremony will be at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Services will conclude where Alma will be laid to rest at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens in Prince George, Va.
